TRIBUTE TO NEWSPAPER ADVERTISING
♦ — During a discussion at the Carnavonshire County Council as to the advisability of publishing certain by-laws (says a London paper of December DSUi), a mem. ber asked 1 whether it was not possible to publish them in a cheaper way than in liie newspapers. The Cleric (Sir John Boherts): 'fake it from me Unit the cheapest way of advertising these by-laws is in the newspapers. By means of newspapers you can reach every part of the county, which is not possible for posters. Jt was decided to advertise in newspapers.
