RECRUITING
OAMARU ASSISTANCE. (Per United Press Association.) OAMARU, February 16. The Oamaru Borough Council and the Waitaki County Council decided to give the new recruiting scheme every assistance. Both form themselves into a recruiting committee, although- several members, while agreeing to assist, favoured straight-out compulsion. A public meeting called for last night was poorly attended and was adjourned for a week.
