TRIBUTE TO NEWSPAPER ADVERTISING

During a discussion at the Carnavonsliire County Council as to the advisability of publishing certain by-laws (says a London paper of December 18th), a member asked whether it was not possible to publish them in a cheaper way than in tlie newspapers. The Clerk (Kir John Roberts): Take it from me that the cheapest way of advertising - these by-laws is in the newspapers. By means of newspapers you can reach every part of the county, which is not possible for posters. It was decided to advertise in newspapers.
