FEATHERSTONE CAMP

CASES OF GASTRO-ENTERITIS. (Per United Press Association.) ■WELLINGTON, February 10. Consequent upon rumours circulated concerning the health of the soldiers at Featherstone camp, Surgeon-General Henderson has made a statement in which he points out that there has been a number of complaints of gastro-en-terltis and that the patients in hospital is twenty-four. But none of the cases are serious. From inquiries he finds that the complaint is prevalent in the surrounding villages and in AVellington itself. It is one which usually occurs during hot summer weather and he thinks that the trouble is in no way due to the drinking-water, which, on analysis, lias been shown of good quality.
