AUCKLAND, February 9. The Herald’s Taumarunui correspondent telephoned Late to-night stating that Ngaruahoe was very active. Flashes of fire were seen in Taumarunui in spite of the intervening hills. Telephone messages are coming through to Taumarunui from settlers saying that the activity of the mountain is very marked. The effect in Taumarunui resembles strong lightning. LATEST REPORT.
