Tliore was a small yarding of fat cattle at Burnside, 139 being penned. Competition was keen and prices were 10/to 20/- above last week’s rates. Best bullocks, £l7 to £lB »/-; medium to good, £l3 to £ls 10/-; others, £lO 10/- to £l2 10/-; best cows and heifers, £l3 to £l4 7/6; medium to good, £lO 10/- to £l2: light inferior, £S 10/. to £lO 5/-. There was a large yarding of fat sheep. 3000 being penned. The entry did not include many pens of extra heavy wethers. Price* for wethers advanced 1/6 to 2/-, compared with last week’s; ewes were about 1/- dearer, but towards the close values receded to about last week’s level. Best wethers, 27 - to 30/-; extra to 35/-: medium to good, 2 1/- to 26/-; light unfinished, 19/to 22 best ewes, 25/- to 28/-; extra to 33 3; medium to good, 20/- to 24/-; others. 17/- to 19/0. Fat Lambs—l92o penned. Competition was hardly as keen as last week, and prices were slightly easier. Best, 20/to 22/-; extra to 26/6; medium to good, 16/6 to 19/-; light and inferior to 15/-. ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, February 9. At Addington live stock market there were larger entries of all classes of sheep, especially stores. The attendance was also more numerous. Fat cattle were Irregular and rather easier, as the bulk of the harvest is now completed, and there has been some rain. There was a large attendance of buyers, and a keen demand for forward sheep and good ewes, which showed an advance. The prices for fat lambs were also firmer, and fat sheep sold at about last week's rates on an average. Store Sheep—Forward lambs, 14/- to 16,-7; ordinary lambs, in/6 to 13/9; inferior lambs, 7/9 to 10/-; cull lambs, 5/to 6/S; two-tooth ewes, 19/S to 22/S; inferior two-tooth ewes, 15/-; soundmouthed ewes, 15/6 to 18/6; sound and failing mouthed ewes, 12/6 to 16/9; four, six and eight-tooth ewes, 16/- to 17/2; two-tooth wethers. 11/- to 14/6; forward wethers, 17/6 to 19/-.
