PORT OF BLUFF. ARRIVED. February 9—Theresa Ward, 9 tons. Harhorrl, from Halfmoon Bay. Harbour Board, gaents. February 9—Kotare. TD tons. Treurn, from Dunedin. N.M. and A. Co., agents. SAIT,ED. February 9—Theresa Ward, 9 tons, Harbord, for Halfmoon Bay. Harbour Board, agents. February 9 —Kini. 70-1 tons, Platts, for Wellington. U.S.S. Co., agents. The Kini, after discharging 1100 tons coal, and loading 100 tons produce, cleared Bluff early yesterday morning for the West Coast, via Wellington. Owing to special circumstances no notice has been made of the journey to England from New Zealand of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Ruapehu. Consequently news of her arrival has been awaited with much interest. She left Auckland on the 17th December, and advice of her arrival at Plymouth on Thursday last has now been received. The vessel ran up to time, the Ith inst., being her due date. Advice was received by the ShawSavill Company to the effect that the A theme, Kia Ora. and Ocean Monarch all left Monte Video in continuation of their journey from New Zealand to London on Thursday last, 3rd February. All three vessels made Wellington their final port. The Ocean Monarch had a big start from the other two. She cleared Port Nicholson on the 7th January. The Athenic got away on the 13th January, and the Kia Ora two days later. The local agents of the U.S. and A. Line have been advised that the Canastota, a big cargo steamer, has been withdrawn from regular service in order to enter upon special work. For a time the Canastota ran under charter to the U.S. and A. Line, but has since been purchased by them. Last month it was reported that the ship had been fixed to load at New York for New Zealand.
