I NICEST AT OUNEiUN. COKOXERX FINOING. (Per United Press Association.) DUNKIHN, January 17. At an inquest to-day concerning: the death of John who died from' injuries sustained by a fall in the dry dock at Port Glial triers, the Coroner (.Mr R. J. Laj-tlrolomew) held that death was due to an accidental fall, hut declined to give any finding on the matter of nojfliscnce. as it was not germane to the enquiry. The evidence, he said, was contradictory and unsatisfactory. MOTOR CAR STRIKES TRAIN. OCCUPANTS’ MIRACULOUS ESCAPE. NELSON, January 17. While endeavouring to avoid injurin.tr a child who ran across the road at Richmond crossimr this afternoon a motorcar driver bad his attention diverted from an approaching train, and the car struck the inline. <)f the live occupants of the car, one girl, aged 12, named Rhodes, residing at Motuoka. was rather seriously injured, the flesh being stripped from her leg by the u heels of the engine. She had a miraculous escape from death. None of the others was scriouaJy injured.
