(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January It. At the Supreme Court to-day John Mattson, an elderly man, was sentenced by the Chief Justice (Sir R. Stout) to a month's imprisonment on each of five charges of false pretences, the terms to he cumulative, and was declared ail habitual criminal. Prisoner was released by the Prisons Board some time ago on the nnderstaning that lie never touched liquor again.
