IDEAL ANTI-SEPTIC

FRENCH PHYSICIAN'S DISCOVERY. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright) PARIS, August 5. Doctor Alexis Carrell, of the Rockefeller Institute, and Mr Henry Dakin, chemist, have discovered an ideal antiseptic, consisting of hydrochloride of lime with the addition of boric acid as a preservative, and carbonate of lime, to counteract acidity.

Professor Landouzy, lecturing at the Academy of Sciences, said that, in a series of experiment at the Compeigne hospital, it was applied to the most frightful wounds.
