BLUFF CUTTER WRECKED

Messrs Dixon Bros’, cutter, Bonnie •lean, was wrecked at Te Wais Point, near Bluff, at 2 a.m. on Sunday, and is completely smashed up. Her engine and a portion of the gear have been saved, hut the remainder of (he craft is pounded to pieces. She was on her way to Ruapuke, hut got 100 close in shore, and was carried ashore by the swell. Her crew of three got safely ashore, but none too soon, as an easterly wind was driving big breakers into the hay, which is very exposed.
