POLL TO EE TAKEN TO-MORROW. FIRST FOR TWELVE YEARS. (Special to the Times). WELLINGTON, July 25. For the first time in twelve years a poll will be taken on Tuesday next on the question of the retention or otherwise of alcoholic liquor in the Parliamentary restaurant. The Legislature Act provides that a poll on the question shall be taken on the fourth Tuesday after the close of the debate on the Address-in-Reply in the first session of each Parliament. The last poll was taken on August 12, 1 903, when the retention of alcoholic liquor was carried by 76 to 31. The details of voting were as follows: —Legislative Council: Ayes 34, noes 4: House of Representatives: Ayes 42, noes 27. The poll before that was taken on July 2.', 1900, when the voting was as follows; —Legislative' Council: Ayes 29, noes 6; House of Representatives: Ayes 37, noes 26; total ayes 66, noes 32.
