SEPARATION ALLOWANCES
HOW TO CRAIM THEM. (.Special to the Times). WERRINGTON. July 19. The Government has recently granted a separation allowance of Is per day to the wives of members' of the New Zealand Expeditionary force. This allowance is payable from June 1 to the wives of men who were attested prior to that date and from the date of enlistment 3n all other cases. Before this allowance can be paid a written application, accompanied by her marriage certificate, must be made by the wife claiming such application, to be addressed either to the Headquarters Defence Department at Auckland. Palmerston North, Christchurch or Dunedin, or to the Quartermaster General. (4). Defence Department. Brandon street, Wellington. After being noted the marriage certificate will be returned. If the marriage certificate is not readily obtained a declaration before a Justice of the Peace will be accepted. Tiie allowance will lie added to tiie payments made under tiie allotment orders at the end ol every month.
