After the American engineer blew up the amphitheatre with his land mine, savins; Kathleen front the lions, he drugged her to a secluded spot, where Ihirnhaj and Pundita were waiting with elephants. Nicholas tells Kingsley that if ho goes to the squire’s house ; he will see his fiancee keeping a secret appointment with the squire. Helston i follows Lena to the squire’s home, and ! there a storm scene ensues. Kingsley I realises that his fiancee lias been tricked 1 into the visit, and he and Dora leave the I place. Mark Hedston then denounces the squire and shoots him. Mark’s mother, half demented, tries to kill Lena, who is the sole witness of her son’s crime, but Lena is rescued by Kingsley, and Mark, remorseful, writes a full confession, and commits suicide. The auxiliary items will include "The Knd of the Umbrella” (being the seventh of the, Dolly of the Dalies series). BOIMmTaK PIGTURK PALACE. Tiie management of the Popular Picture Palace announce their intention to screen the fourteenth instalment of the story of the popular adventuress, “Lucille Love" this evening. After this chapter there will remain only one series before tiie enthralling story comes to its conclusion, a conclusion that will startle everyone who iias followed the story from its inception. In the series to he screened this evening the stirring events of the final chapter are foreshadowed. Indeed the story takes an unexpected turn leading to a climax which will justify the unequalled popularity of the Oig serial.
