THE “TRIUMPHS” RACING RECORD. During the motor-cycle racing season just concluded the Triumph motor-cycle lias figured very prominently at every speed test held on New Brighton beach, putting up creditable performances in every race in which it was entered, and securing almost all the first prizes and fastest time prizes. These successes were not confined to the trade events, but were equally notable in the events for private owners. Neither were they' confined to any particular distance. The Triumph secured first place in one mile, five miles, sixteen miles, twenty-four miles, and one hundred miles events, and made fastest time in five miles, fen miles, sixteen miles, twenty-four miles, and fifty miles events. Nor were its wonderful performances confined to solo work, for it has to its credit fastest time in the eight mile side-car race. In addition to these successes on the flat the Triumph holds some sensational hillclimbing records, and also the crosscountry records over the Christcturch-to-Kaikoura-and-back course. The majority of Triumph riders are not racing men, and we do not advertise these results to prove that the Triumph is a fast machine. We do, however, contend that such a consistent series of wins, many of them in open competition, proves the absolute reliability of the Triumph under the conditions of severe strain imposed in speed tests, and testifies to the wonderful efficiency of the engine that can be speeded up to such a phenomenal extent. We have proved that a 4 h.p. Triumph can do everything that other machines up to nearly double the h.p. can do, while costing considerably less to run than machines nf bigger cylinder capacity. We can give immediate delivery of the new 4 h.p. 3-speed and 2% h.p. two-speed models.—Wilson and Fraser, Agents for Triumph Motor Gvnles. Dee Street. Invercargill- -r
