An Auckland telegram states that Mr Frazer, coroner, held a.n inquest on the 14-months-old baby Wilfred Dnwright. and returned a verdict that death was due to poisoning by caustic soda, which the child had accidentally shaken on to a cake of soap and then ate the soap. During the month of March Customs revenue collected at Wellington amounted to £18,547. being a decrease of £2y;!l on tlie receipts in March, IKI4. The total Customs revenue at AVellington for the year ended March :: 1 was £54n,171, compared with £SSS,C67 in the_prcvious year.
