Robert Thomson wrote in reference to residence on section 51. Mock X\ 111.. Jacob's river hundred, staling residence could not have been intended on the section, which he acquired as an addition to in’s previous holding.—Granted exemption during Board’s pleasure. Ed. Dcegan, lessee of section 51, Mock XVIII.. Jacob's river hundred, applied for exemption from residence, as lie acquired section as an addition, lo his other land. —Granted exemption during Board’s pleasure. 14. IV. Stevens applied for grazing right over section 897, block XXV!., Ilokonni. in consideration of his keeping down the rabbits. Lease was at present in Hie name of McKellar Bros. Term expires 31/12/1915. —The Commissioner suggested withdrawing reservation and offering section at auction for cash, at upset of £2 lbs per acre. —Approved. The ('ommissioncr recommended that, in connection with section 891. block XXVI., llokomii, the open portion cast of Hie road, approximately 21a. he opened for sale by auction for cash, at an upset of £3 per acre, and the balance, approximately 93a. be reserved for scenic purposes. —Approved. Hi. A. Cameron. lessee of lot 4 of pastoral run 32flt. Education Endowment, asked permission lo break up and sow Ilea of run for winter feed. —Approved. Otcruiniku hundred, for section S6, which is a gravel reserve (14a), stating that his land was more suitable for gravel purposes than the present reserve. The Southland County Council, had no objection to the proposal. —Recommended for approval of Hon. Minister of Lands, subject to applicant paying cost of survey. •\\y x. Bond, lessee of run 327 a, and sections 11 and 12, Waikaia H.D.. applied for permission to erect two miles of fencing for the safety of Hie sheep.--Approved. Wm. J. Fruin applied for a license to take gravel from pail section ... Mock Nil., Camphclllown hundred. HJa, and offered £2 per annum and royally, 6d per yard.—Oran led. The Stewart Island. Comity Council suhmittcl schedule-! of proposed expenditure of "thirds’’ period ending January 3), 1915, amounting to £1 15s 10d. Timber and (lax royalties. £l9 15s 2d.--Ap-proved. and Received authorised to pay over the amounts.

The Wallace County Council submitted schedules of proposed expenditure of “thirds.” etc., amounting' to £132 10s 3d, and royalties, £l2 19s 2d.—Approved,' and Received authorised to pay over the amounts. The Southland County Council submitted schedules of proposed expenditure of "thirds.” etc., £304 2s 6d, and royalties. £25 12s lOd. —Approved, and Received authorised to pay over the amounts. McCall urn and Co. applied for a license to occupy 17a in sections 2 and 3, block XXII., Jacob’s river hundred, for the purpose of a sawmill site, and also for tram rights in,sections 2, 3. 4 and 5, block XXII., and 45, block VIII., Jacob’s river hundred. —Approved. The Commissioner submitted Ranger's report of re-valuation of rent on section 1, block IV., Menzies Ferry, and suggested that the rent be fixed at £5 per annum.—Approved. D. McLennan, lessee of runs 1 to 4, of section 44, Walraki, applied for permission to remove fence on east boundary of runs to a position further west • Approved.
