There is a general tendency towards a sense of responsibility, and a desire to become good citizens. PRICE OF MILK RAISED, MELBOURNE, March 25. The price of milk has been raised from 5d to Cd a quart. WORKMEN’S COMPENSATION ACT. SYDNEY, March 25. The lion. J. H. Cann (State Chief Sec. relary), states that the new measures provided to supersede the Workmen’s Compensation Act will enable a reciprocal arrangement to be come to witli New Zealand. When the measure is passed negotiations with New Zealand will begin. FEDERAL WAR PENSIONS. MELBOURNE, March 26. Regulations have been issued with reference to war pensions to relatives of soldiers and sailors killed. These stipulate that pensions shall not bo paid until complete dependence is proved.
