Sixteen of the crew of the Zaanstroom who have arrived at Amsterdam, state that the Germans hoisted the war flag. Two Dutch steamers, a HamburgAmerlka liner and the Odenwald, Interned at San Juan Puerto-ruad attempted to escape and the forts fired blank cartridge at them. As the steamers persisted live shells were fired, and the Odenwald returned to anchorage. The Customs have seized her.
