March 22. .Mr George Edward Charlton, of Seacliff. fell or was thrown off a horse at Waikouaiti on Saturday evening, and received injuries which terminated fatally yesterday. A fatal accident occurred in Symonds street this morning, by which a hoy named George Hades, aged 15 years, met bis death. The] crossing-keeper called out and Hicks hesitated and then drove over tlie crossing. the engine striking tlie end of the spring-carl, capsizing it and throwing Hicks out on his head on to the crossing. The injured man never regained ;onsciousne ;s and died about Iwo hours after being received into the hospital.
