It was stated that Otago and Southland were expected to find onc-ftfth of tho proposed public subscription of £5001) per month In New Zealand and It was decided to divide the city and suburbs into 138 blocks and make a personal canvass for funds. A largo number ot lady collectors will be enrolled for the purpose.
