Received September 22, Off) p.m. Joseph Earle Hermann, a financier, was charged with uttering a forged promissory note to the value of £2689 Iris 6d. The prosecution alleged that there were other notes, supposed to be forgeries, totalling nearly £42,000. Bail was refused and the hearing adjourned till September 29.
