RESIGNATION OF PREMIER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. MELBOURNE. June 16. Received June 16. 5.50 p.m. Mr W. Watt (State Premier) has informed the Cabinet of his intention to resign the State Premiership and contest the Balaclava seat at the Federal elections. Sir A. Peacock. Minister of Education, succeeds Mr Watt as Premier and Treasurer. The Minister of Education has decided to introduce boxing in the regular curriculum at State schools.
