M.P. for Galmorgan, at New Tredegar, foreshadowed that the miners would demand in ,1915 ninepence a day beyond the present minimum for all workers, and that they intend to demand an amended Minimum AVago Act. Ulster had frightened Parliament, but the aristocracy had set the workers an example which the combined forces of labour might find useful. BAKERS’ STRIKE THREATENED. SYDNEY'. May 3. Received May 3, 5.5 p.m. The bakers have delivered an ultimatum" to the masters that day baking must, be instituted within a week or a strike "will take place. SECESSION FROM THE FEDERATION. (Per United Press Association). DUNEDIN. May 3. At a meeting of the Dunedin and Suburban Drivers" Union it was decided to take a ballot of members whether the Union should continue any longer affiliated with the United Federation of Labour and the Social Democratic party. It was-decided that the Union would not send a delegate to the United Federation of Labour Conference in July.
