As a result of the Official Receiver's investigation of his affairs, the Public Prosecutor obtained at the Mansion House Police Court on Christmas Eve a warrant for Fenner's arrest on a charge of "fraudulent conversion of certificates of shares." A previous warrant for Kenner's arrest was issued at the instance of the Official Receiver under the Bankruptcy Act. on the ground that he failed to appear at his public examination in bankruptcy on June 11‘. The offence for which the new warrant was issued was the “fraudulent conversion of certificates of shares." the sum mentioned running into something between £IO,OOO and £15.000. The investigation showed that his affairs were hopelessly involved, and the Assistant Official Receiver said the liabilities would amount to between £IOO.OOO and £150.000.
