ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
PORTUGUESE POISONED. (Per United Press Association). GISBORNE. April 16. A Portuguese, named Nathaniel de Souza, about fifty years of age, was found in a dying condition at Ngatapa yesterday morning. evidently having swallowed a dose of poison, presumably some disinfectant. Deceased kept a boardinghouse and dining-rooms for railway workers there and was found at his residence as the men went over for breakfast, lying in a dying condition and goaning, apparently being In the severest possible pain.
