IN THE MATTER of a proposal to raise j Special Loans of £15,000 and £IO,OOO, PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given iliat the Council of the Borough of Inver. ; cargill proposes to borrow by way of I Special Loan in exercise of the powers i vested in it by the above-mentioned Act ; the sums of £15,000 and £IO,OOO for th* I purpose of the following public works; ' FIRST £15,000 FOR, i Gasworks plant and extensions include ling; New Gas Holder. SECOND £IO,OOO FOR, The extension of the Corporation Electric Light and Power system over the whole Borough, including machinery, plant, material and labour £9450; preliminary expenses £IOO, and first year a interest £450. The said Loan of £lo,o,oo.and the interest thereon shall be secured upon all the annual revenues, rents and income of the Borough and also upon a sinking fund of £1 per centum per annum on the amount of the said loan, which shall be set apart from the said annual revenues, rents and income for the payment of the said loan of £10,000; and the said interest and sinking fund shall also be secured by a special rate upon all the rateable property within the Borough sufficient to meet the periodical payments of the said interest and sinking fund as they fall due and ten per centnm more than such payments. It is proposed that all preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the purposes for which the aforesaid loans are to be raised the cost of raising the loans and the interest on the loans for the first year shall be paid out of the loans. The said loans or any parts thereof respectively shall be raised by the issue of debentures payable at periods of not less than one year nor more than forty years from the Ist day of July. 1914. and bearing interest not exceeding the rate of £5 per centum per annum payable half-yearly.
