CANCEROUS HOUSES
GRAVE RISK OF INFECTION.

The liability to acquire cancer by living in a house previously occupied by cancer sufferers, is the gravest existing medical riddle. The recurrence of cancer in the same blocks of buildings is generally attributed to a coincidence, but a more thorough investigation as being urged. The cage of a cancerous mouse was placed in a laboratory without being cleansed and mice introduced into it contracted the disease. After washing the cage infection remained and frequent disinfections were required to remove it.
