EXHIBITION COMMITTEE
A meeting of the Exhibition Committee was held last evening, and was attended by Messrs T. D. A. Moffett, chairman, Doughnan. Ward, Petrie and Riddell. An apology for non-attendance was received from Mr McCaw. Several reports from th© caretaker of the court were read and approved of, and the secretary, Mr J. T. Prain, was Instructed to advise the caretaker to arrange as soon as possible for tho sale of fittings and goods, which were not to be returned.
It was decided to present Mr J. J. Kingston with a framed photograph of the Southland court as a slight recognition of his valuable services, and It was also decided to order five sets ofi-photo-graphs as submitted and present them to tlie chief contributors to the Exhibition fund. ,
The secretary submitted a rough bal-ance-sheet, which after making due allowance for further accounts, showed a surplus of about thirty pounds.
Gratification was expressed with the results achieved by Southland exhibitors, the number of first awards being considered decidedly good, and reference was made to the value of the advertising pamphlet Issued by the committee, the chairman remarking that he had received 'numerous expressions of approval in this connection.
