Manawalu. the weather was cold with a strong wind. The visitors gave an excellent, exhibition of batting. Mailey then followed. Armstrong reached his century with 410 up. The fielding was now very slack. At 460 Brennand and Luxford were put on. McLean caught Armstrong at long off with the score at 454. The batsman received an ovation. Laver was the last man. The fielding was going from bad to worse, and 500 soon went up. Luxford clean bowled Mailey with the score at 51«.
