TRIP TO THE ANTARCTIC. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. STOCKHOLM, March 22. Admiral Patander < chairman of tlie Anarctic Committee and the Society of Anthropology and Geography) has outlined plans for an expedition costing 27,000 kroner (a kroner is equivalent to Is 1 !4d) and which will start in the summer of 1915. He expects to he absent for five years. Six scientists, including two Englishmen, will participate. Half the cost of tlie expedition will be provided by the British Museum, the Royal Society, and the Royal Geographical Society. and the scientific collection will he divided between Sweden and England. OBJECTS OF THE EXPEDITION. STOCKHOLM, March 23. Received March 23. 1125 p.m. Tlie Patander expedition is intended to complete Nordenskjotd's investigation of Graham 'Land. Tho base will be at tlie east coast of Antarctic Sound. Special attention is to he paid to the mountain range and its possible connection with tho mountain system of South America, so well as fossil formations, the glacier process, and atmospheric variations.
