A DOMESTIC TROUBLE

ALLEGED ASSAULT WITH FIREARMS. A HUSBAND ARRESTED. (Per United Press Association.) i DUNEDIN. March 22. George Havelock Green, who was arrested at Auckland about three weeks ago on a charge of disobeying an order for the maintenance of his wife and children, and brought to Dunedin, went down to Sawyer’s Bay this afternoon, where is wife is engaged as housekeeper. He called at the house about 3.30 p.m., and apparently fired two or three shots at her, all of which took effect about the neck or shoulders. Green then walked to Port Chalmers, where ho was arrested by Constable O’Shea about 4 p.m. Mrs Green was attended by Dr. Borrie, of Port Chalmers, but from what little can be gathered at present it does not appear that her wounds are critical.
