Nobody could deny that the deportations were altogether indefensible. and nobody would be blind to the outrage and scandal of the infliction of perpetual exile by a retrospective enactment. The West Australian Assocation stipulated that the team should include Trumpet- and Macartney, and failing either, flardsley. It is understood that Macartney has stated hi* inability to go. and Trumper being away is unlikely in be able to go West.
