A DISAPPEARANCE

AN UNTIMELY END.

(By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.)

LONDON. October 1 Received October 1, 9.0 p.m.

Diesel, the iriventor of the oil engine, disappeared in the North Sea while voyaging to England. His disappearance is a mystery. He was travelling to London to attend a company meeting, and was conversing with a director and the chief engineer. The three separated in the evening to go to their cabins, but Diesel did not sleep in his birth. It is supposed that he continued walking on deck owing to insomnia which he occasionally suffered from, and fell overboard.
