The circumstances point plainly In incendiarism. Had the Scouts not gone for practice the fire might not have lieen found till it had got « bold of the building. TBMUKA WATER SUPPLY. THMARI’, March 31. The Borough of Tenuka's high pressure water supply has been completed, and ttie water was turned on to-day by the Mayoress (Mrs Hayhnrst). At a trial as a means of fire prevention, the force threw the water through a halfinch nozzle 1)0 feel high. The water is obtained from a creek at Winchester, through 300 chains of main pipe, and 1160 chains of reticulation.
