NIGHTCAPS DOG TRIAL.

The Nightcaps Sheep Dog Trials’ Association, with the idea of adding attractiveness to their fixture to be held on Ist and 2nd April, have decided to hold a jumping contest on the first day’s trials. This will be a contest over three hurdles, and the prizes will be a special trophy presented by Mr J. B. Thomson, Invercargill, a special by Mr M. O'Brien, Otautau, and a rug presented by Messrs Liddell and Turklngton, Nightcaps. Post entries will be received for this as well as for all other events of the Trials. It is as well to point out to owners of dogs eligible for the trials, the very fine prizes being offered by the Association this year, no fewer than three valuable cups being offered in addition to the substantial prizes appearing on the posters. The cups were presented by the Sheep-breeders, Messrs Loasby and Thomas, Nightcaps, and Mr N. J. AT. Rein, Invercargill. On the evening of the first day’s trials a dance will be held in the Nightcaps Coronation Hall.
