THE DAIRY CONFERENCE.

To the Editor. Sir,—ln Saturday's Times there is a paragraph stating that "a meeting of the Southland Dairy Factory directors will be called shortly to discuss the question of forming a Southland Association or of having the headquarters of the S.l D. Association removed to Invercargill." Suclt a meeting is altogether uncalled for, and would be very improper. It is really a matter that ought to be brought up at, a general meeting. The statement that there is a widespread feeling among those chiefly concerned, that their affairs should be in the hands of a local Institution” is a gross exaggeration, or in other words "it is not according to fact.” It, seems to me It has been pm in to create a feeling non-existent at present Or it may be some one is after a’’billet. H will all come out in time.—l am, etc., DIRECTOR. 13th January.
