Air Beehy. .Minister for .Labour, speaking a! Oberon. said that whatever the consequences, even though it led to his retirement from polities altogether, he intended to persist in his opposition to certain referenda proposals. .Mr Griffiths, in a speech denying charges of extravagance against the Government, said that when money slackens he would be more extravagant than ever.

Air Cann, speaking at a church function. denied that he tried to raise a loan in Paris. Replying to statements that he was putting on the screw in regard to public works, he said that when the present momentary scare in the Old Land clears away, things would become normal. Australia's credit and prospects were as good as ever.
