A white turnip, weighing 3.11b, was on Saturday, exhibited at the shop of Mr Rltterath, butcher, Dee street. This gigantic vegetable was grown in the garden of Messrs Mueller and Geisow, Tay street, and is proof of the suitability of the soil and climate of the province for the growth of esculent i cgetables. Tuesday night was very dark, and during portions of the evening a deluge of rain and hail fell.
