FIRE ON A CUNARDER

Received June 3, 9.20 p.m. A fire occurred on the Cunarder Carmania, and she lias been docked at Liverpool. It is believed that the fire commenced in the coal bunkers. The vessel was gravely imperilled. Despite a rumour that there were a thousand barrels of oil aboard, firemen and police fearlessly used their hosoOt The water caused a heavy list. The fire burnt for three hours. T#l® upper decks were completely tc'TSMffid and the saloons were destroyed.
