A LIBEL CASE

Received April 6, 2.10 a.m. In the case in which Vacher and Sons sued the London Society of Compositors for libel, the Court of Appeal decided that under the Trade Disputes Act, a trade union was Immune. Mr Justice Farewell, in dissenting from the decision come to by the other judges, remarked that libel must be proved to be an absolute He and must be peculiarly offensive.
