THE MISSING KOOMBANA
OWNERS GIVE UP HOPE. AND NOTIFY LOSS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.) PERTH. April 5. Received April 5, 5.5 p.m. Owners relinquished all hope for the Koombana, and have officially notified the public that she is lost. It is believed that she foundered in the vicinity of Redout Island. It is surmised that the absence of a light caused the captain to misjudge his position and strike the reef. No person could have lived in the sea then running; besides the place is Infested with myriads of sharks.
