M. -Myers (Minister for Railways) stated that In; would naturally carry out the same policy in connection with the Department as he had done in administering the affairs of the city—a progressive policy consistent with prudent finance. (think that the people of Auckland will agree with me that, in the light of present events, such a policy is in the right direction, said Mr Myers.
