Frozeh Mutton and Lamb. Good demand. Frozen meat firm, but prices unchanged. Frozen Beef.—Unchanged. BETTER FOR EXPORT. SOME .AUCKLAND FIGURES. <Per United Press Association). AUCKLAND, March 27. The quantity of butter coming forward for export shows a large increase over the quantities exported this time last season. For the past fortnight the quantities of butter coming forward for export from Auckland Province totalled 8550 boxes, equal to 4275cwt, compared with 11,996 boxes exported In the previous fortnight. There is a drop of 3446 boxes (1723cwt.) in the export of but*.er for the last fortnight, but when the ast fortnight's shipments are compared with those of the corresponding period' of last season there is an increase of 3650 boxes in favour of the period this season. Including last fortnight’s shipments, the quantity of butter exported from the province this season reaches a total of 276,365 boxes (128,182% owt). This, when compared With 24,208 boxes (120.104cwt) the total for the corresponding period of last season, shows an Increase for this season Of 35,157 boxes, equal to 14% per cent. ... A very heavy yarding, ewes again forming hy far the largest proportion. Lambs, good rape sorts, 32s to 13s; extra, to 14s; ordinary good lambs, 10s 3d to 11s; fair sorts, 9s 6d to 10s; small. 6s Gd to Ss; shorn Jambs, to 7s; wethers, forward four and elx-tooth sorts, to 16s Id; others, 11s

7d to 14s; ewes, two tooth, 14s to ITs; extra, to 18s lid; four and six-tooth, 15s 6d to 16s 6d; four-tooth, specially good, 18s 6d; best sound-mouth ewes, 14s to 15s 6d; sound mouth medium, 10s 6d to 12s 3d: inferior and aged. 3s to 10s; merino ewes, four and eight-tooth, Ts Sd to 10s 6d; inferior merinos, 3s 3d; six and eight-tooth crossbred low-conditioned and travel-stained, 11s to Ifis; two and four-tooth, good, 15s to 16s Gd; full and falling - mouth ewes, Ts to Os; aged and toothless sorts. 4s to Ss. Fat Lambs.—So29 penned. There were more large prime linos offered and these met with keen competition from the export buyer.4. and though their nominal limit was 5d per lb. this figure was frequently exceeded, though the average price per head was higher than at late sales. This was more due to the weight and quality of the lambs than to any actual rise in values. Ail through the market was very firm, the range of prices being: Tegs. 17s to IPs: extra, to 19s 9d; ordinary freezing weights, 13s to 16s 6d. Fat Sheep. A fairly large entry, ewes forming the largest proportion, and among the wethers were severed lines of merinos. Tiiere was active competition for export both in wethers and ewes, the former being firmer while ewes sold fully up to last week’s rates. Prime wethers, 17s 6d to 20s; others, 15s Id to 18s 9d; merino wethers, 12s to 15s Sd; prime ewes, 13s to 17s; others, 9s to 12s 6d.

Fat Cattle. Only 172 head penned, and they were of mixed quality. The sale was irregular: but there was an improvement in prices in consequence of the short supply, the range per 100 lbs being 21s to 265. Steers made £S 5s to £l2; heifers, £5 10s to £0; extra, to £11; cows, £5 17s 6d to £3 ss. Veal calves made 6s to 555, according to size and quality. Store Cattle. —A small entry of a medium class mot with a weaker demand and lower prices, yearlings made 30s; 15 to 18-months, £2 8s to £3 13s fid: twoyear steers, £1 11&; two-year heifers, £4 10s; three-year steers, £5 7s Gd to £7; three-year heifers, £4 to £4 10s; dry cows. 35s to £5 16s; dairy cows, £4 10s to £lO ss; extra, to £l3 ss.

Pigs. A small yarding of store pigs met avith a good demand, large sorts making 34s to 40s; medium, 2Ss to 30s; smaller 6s to 235; v.-enner:;, 10s to IDs. A medium entry of fats, haconors being rather easier.
