A BANK ROBBED.
tZy Telegraph.—Prtu Association. —Cop/rlftt.) VANCOUVER, Sept. 15. A daring bank robbery is reported at New Westminster. Three armed robbers dug through a wall, blew up the safe and stole sixty thousand pounds (£60,000). They left five thousand pounds strew n about the floor in notes and gold, A Chinese janitor, who interrupted their work, was sand-bagged and. tied to a chair. The men then made their escape. The bank is close to the police station. •, RANK NOTES TRACED. . OTTAWA, Sept. 17. Received Sept. 18, 12.10 a.m. A number of stolen bank notes have •been traced to Vancouver. The police are on the track. A convict was released from New Westminster Gaol the day previous, to the robbery.
