PEACOCK MURDER CHARGE.

ACCUSED BEFORE THE COURT. [By Telegraph.—Prese Association.—Copyright, ] MELBOURNE,' Sept. 16. Dr Peacock was charged with the murder of Miss Davies. Clifford Poke, Davies’ sweetheart, stated that he last saw her at Peacock's Hospital on August 17. He identified jewellery and clothing as having belonged to her. On August 22 Dr Peacock told him that Miss Davies was dead, and asked him to leave the disposal of J,lie body to him to secretly, bury. He intended to take the girl’s clothes to his farm at Carrum and burn - them. Subsequently ho said that the body was buried and the clothes burned. He warned witness to say nothing or it would be bad for both of them.
