Advice received in Wellington' states that the X.Z. Shipping Co.’s steamer Kaipara, Homeward bound front Australia, left Durban for Teneriffe on Monday. The Tyser liner Indralema is due at Wellington next Sunday from Xapier for Homeward loading. She is to sail on Monday for Bluff. and proceeds thence to London, via Las Palmas. The local agents advise that the Tyser Company's steamers Indrabarah, which Is bound from London via ports. Is not expected at Wellington until the 28th September. The Federal - Houlder - Shire Line Steamer Surrey, after loading a large quantity of grain and other cargo at Lyttelton for West of England ports, sailed at noon on Thursday for Dunedin and Bluff. The Xew Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Kaipara, bound from Port Pirle to Antwerp, left Durban after bunkering on Monday. The Tongariro arrived at Plymouth on Sunday morning. 41 days out from Wellington, and reached London on Monday. The Union liner Marama left Vancouver at II a.m. on Wednesday. 6th inst.. for Auckland, via Honolulu and Fiji, with 309 passengers —126 firstclass, 104 second-class, and 79 thirdclass, and 302 tons of cargo. She is due at Fiji on the 22nd Inst., and at Auckland 26th inst., and will leave the same day for Sydney. U.S.S. CO. STEAMER MOVEMENTS, Monday, 18th Sept.—Manuka arrives from Sydney via North about 4 a.m, and leaves for Hobart and Melbourne on arrival of 2.50 p.m. train from Invercargill. ' Monday, ISth Sept. Moana arrives from Hobart and Melbourne about 10 a.m., and leaves for Sydney via North on arrival of 1.45 p.m. train from Invercargill. Monday, ISth Sept.—Kaituna arrives from Newcastle about 4 a.m., and leaves for Oamaru. Tuesday. 19th Sept. Waitemata arrives from Auckland. Wednesday, 20th Sept. Waitemata leaves for Napier, Gisborne and Auckland on arrival of 11.25 train.

Arrived Karamea from Lyttelton ; Surrey from Northern ports ; Breeze from Lyttelton. Sailed—Mararoa for Lyttelton; MonoWal for Auckland. AUXILIARY SCHOONER ASHORE. WATROA, Sept. 15. The auxiliary steamer Tuatea left here last night for Napier, but attempted to return owing to the heavy weather. She went on the beach at 8 o’clock. Attempts are being made to float her off and there is hope of their being successful at high tide. THE WEATHER. WELLINGTON. Sept. 15. Weather summary and forecast ; The barometer has fallen considerably in the South, but has risen in the Northernmost districts. Westerly winds have prevailed and freshened generally. The weather has been fair to overcast, with rain in parts. Present indications are for westerly winds, strong to a gale generally, with a falling barometer everywhere : unsettled and boisterous weather probable generally, and rain on the West Coast and in Southern districts. and with heavy seas on all the Western coast. g,: -t ■" '
