AKNUAI. MEETING The annual meeting of Wyndham Cricket Club was held on Wednesday evening. The following were present;— Messrs James McLauchlan (President), J. H. Baird. F. Maguire, H. Valentine, D. Raymond. E. Carlaw, D. Herbert, E. Drummond. R. Wadsworth, T. Bogue, J. Golding, J. B. Marsh, J. Sykes, D. Macpherson, and H. E. Porter (Secretary). The chairman, in a few remarks, congratulated tire seniors upon winning the cup for the second lime. Ho hoped that they would retain it in the coming season and thus win it outright. The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The best hatting average was secured by Mr E. Carlaw —13.-1. With 16 wickets for 6.6 runs per wicket. Mr J. B. Marsh leads the bowling average. Mr D. Raymond had the largest number of victims —33. The balance sheet showed a credit of £l. Election of office-bearers was as follows President, Mr .las. McLauchlan : Vice-Presidents. Messrs H, Ive, E. C. W. Porter. E. J. Traynor, A. Campbell, T. Broom, and W. J. Currie : Captain. Mr D Raymond ; Deputy-captain. Mr H. J. Murphv ; Pecrotary and Treasurer, Mr PI. E. Porter ; Match Committee, Dr Baird and Messrs Raymond. Murphy and Porter : General Committee, Messrs Bogue, Hunter, Valentine and Carlaw. Subscription was fixed at 10s for seniors and as for juniors. Opening day—Wednesday, October 11. Five new members wore elected. A guinea trophy was donated by Mr TV. Richards, and the Club were given power to donate it for what they deemed best. Votes of thanks were proposed to the retiring office-bearers.
