WYNDHAM NOTES

(From Our Own Correspondent.) A Primitive Methodist Church service was held In the orderly room on Tuesday evening, there being about thirty present. The service was conducted by ilev. J. F. Doherty, of Edcndale. It is Intended to establish a branch of this sect permanently here. A social re-union of members of the Presbyterian Bible-class was held In the Oddfellows’ Hall on 'Tuesday evening. A pleasant time was spent. Addresses were given by Mr James Allan (President), and Captain ‘Wain (Salvation Army), llecitations were contributed by Messrs W. Richards, X. Matheson and Captain Wain and Miss Preece sang. Mr It. Pauli (secretary of the Wyndham Racing Club) left on Thursday for Wellington, where he will attend the Racing Conference. Cold, wet weather has prevailed hero during the past week—typical July weather.
