Received 12, 10.lt) p.m. In connection with the strike at Cardiff. seamen heard that a vessel at the docks contained Chinese. A boat load of pickets evaded the police and boarded the vessel, rushing the forecastle. Chinese faced them with drawn knives and the pickets withdrew and contented theselves with pelting the Chinese with coal. PABM LABOUR AND ARBITRATION. SYDNEY, July 12. Referring to the suggestion to include farm labourers in the Industrial Arbitration Act, Mr Beeby said he regarded the minimum wage and juvenile labour as the only Items which could be regulated. LABOURERS ON STRIKE. BRISBANE, July 12. Forty-five labourers employed in the construction of the Western Railway have struck for an increase from nine Jo ten shillings a day. Many who have been engaged join the strike camps on arrival at the fields.
